Global Executive with 20 years of business technology experience with startups through Fortune 200 corporations, starting with network services, moving to virtualization, cloud and digital. Deep experience in cybersecurity, risk management and global regulations possessing an Advanced Diploma in Computing from Oxford University and an MSc in IT Security, Digital Forensics and Computer Crime Law.

1. What have you found most challenging as a board member?

Dealing with the moving target of cybersecurity and the costs related to it, whilst trying to contribute to overall guidance for taking the business forward

2. How did you become a board member? Can you please briefly tell the story?

I was invited by the CO-Founder and CEO

3. How do you structure your work days from waking up to going to sleep?

Wake up to Yoga, Meditation, then prepare for the day.

Start the work day with a calendar check, email check and overview of meetings for the day.

Look at project plans for tasks in progress and discuss, shortfalls in task to completion per planned sessions.

Brief session with key leads on projects on challenges and successes

Working Lunch

Working sessions on proposals or RFPs in play, circling with COE team for outstanding items for proposals

Review and plan to remediate any technology or other escalations internal or client

Plan for next day meetings Personal Time /Exercise/Family Time

4. What's the most recent significant leadership lesson you've learned?

Balance Hardwork and focus on getting things done with time to network and build a presence outside of my BU

5. What are some of the keys to doing governance well in a organisation?

Having a structured Communications plans, well defined roles and responsibilities and flexibility to adjust per business and regulatory needs

6. How do you differentiate between the role of board member and the roles of CEO or executive team member of a organisation?

Board Member questions, advises and provides directed guidance

CEO or Executive team executes on a business plan

7. What is one meaningful story that comes to mind from your time as a board member so far?

Shifting the business to more of a market focused entity that listened to the market before bringing a solution to market
