1. What have you found most challenging as a CEO or executive of a large enterprise?
In this fast paced world, everything is changing in a very short period of time so we need to be prepared for those changes.
2. How did you become a CEO or executive of a large enterprise? Can you please briefly tell the story?
Initially I started my career as a web designer/developer. Gradually, not limiting myself to regular tasks, I started progressive involvement in various different kinds of software development and evenly took out of the box responsibility over managerial tasks as well. Over the period of time, the level of leadership I showed was warmly welcomed by our investors and was able to lead the entire company in a proficient manner.
3. How do you structure your work days from waking up to going to sleep?
Habit of dividing the whole day's big picture into smaller tasks and following them makes my working days easier and efficient.
4. What's the most recent significant leadership lesson you've learned?
Always be ready for changes, every problem is an opportunity.
5. What's one book that has had a profound impact on your leadership so far? Can you please briefly tell the story of how that book impacted your leadership?
I am very much impressed with Jack Ma's Biography. The way he started his business and got success day by day is very interesting. His well-timed identifying and grasping market opportunity has aided me to be more alert for adapting to the changing environment.
6. How do you build leadership capacity in a large enterprise?
Dream something, prepare your strategy to achieve it and build the best team to execute it and periodically train them as required.
7. What is one meaningful story that comes to mind from your time as a CEO or executive of a large enterprise so far?
The way Sundar Pichai became CEO from Product head and his contribution to Google's success.
