1. What have you found most challenging as a CEO or executive of a large enterprise?
Dealing with people that are not as motivated as yourself and have the right attitude.
2. How did you become a CEO or executive of a large enterprise? Can you please briefly tell the story?
I actually founded my company. I always had the ambition to create something special and entrepreneurship has been close to my heart from an early age.
3. How do you structure your work days from waking up to going to sleep?
I woke up early , exercise and try to be very disciplined as well as flexible.
Having a stop button ( example : switch off time ) is very important, as you cannot work 24 hours per day. However due to social media , I am finding more and more challenging to not find myself working.
4. What's the most recent significant leadership lesson you've learned?
Treat others as you wish to be treated. It is very simplistic and very effective.
Also the Hierarchy times are slowly dissipating.
5. What's one book that has had a profound impact on your leadership so far? Can you please briefly tell the story of how that book impacted your leadership?
Leadership by John Maxwell. It teaches you basic and 11 essentials that every leader must embrace.
6. How do you build leadership capacity in a large enterprise?
Recruiting good people with the right mindset is extremely important. So you can stretch their minds, to achieve , accomplish more and be an example for others to do the same.
7. What is one meaningful story that comes to mind from your time as a CEO or executive of a large enterprise so far?
End of the month sales meeting, the lowest performers always find an excuse.
The top performers want to beat their last month, goes back to mindset. As previously referenced...
I remember my executive meetings back in the early nineties, which probably gives away how old I am.
