1. What have you found most challenging as a CEO or executive of a large enterprise?
From the external perspective, the expectations of society on big corporations have changed quite dramatically. Keeping up with those expectations is becoming more and more important, whether you define ‘society’ as customers, prospects, regulators, media or the government… getting the purpose of your company out there, how it really makes a difference to society, is becoming a more important aspect of everything we do.”
One thing you need to be conscious of when you work in a well-recognised brand is that your reputation is everything… With social media and the speed of consumer response... reputational integrity, especially when you work in a business like ADVENT that looks after Overseas education, is absolutely crucial.”
Pragmatism, decisiveness, and a keen eye for risk, will all stand a CEO in good stead, along with an appetite to keep learning and discovering new ways to overcome the countless challenges out there.
2. How did you become a CEO or executive of a large enterprise? Can you please briefly tell the story?
I started my journey as a CEO in my own company which I co-founded. From the time of incorporation to till date, the company has grown dramatically to a level where it has been acknowledged by the industry and the student’s fraternity. In depth , personalized and professional consultancy and Training is the key recipe of our success, which has given us an edge over other competitors in the same region. Advent education was started in 2005 by a diverse team of professionals with one vision “Education for All”. Their vision to build an Institution with admired values and commitment towards their profession is the mission of every Adventist, and it is reflected in their day to day business.
Now in the time of Social Media we need to understand that there is a need for change for tomorrow's sustainability and we are focusing on that Goal.
3. How do you structure your work days from waking up to going to sleep?
I make sure that I get a good 7 /8 hours of sleep everyday and when I wake up in the morning the first thing I do is Yoga to prepare my Body , mind and soul for the day. I normally don't browse my social media pages but make a schedule checklist for the day keeping in mind my meeting schedule which I get from my Secretary beforehand . I normally believe in 5/6 meals a day starting from Breakfast, Pre-Lunch snack, Lunch, Evening Snacks, and Dinner to feed my body, mind and soul.

Gain insight into sustainability leadership and the application of systems thinking to business challenges
5. What's one book that has had a profound impact on your leadership so far? Can you please briefly tell the story of how that book impacted your leadership?
The McKinsey way Book by Ethan M. Rasiel
6. How do you build leadership capacity in a large enterprise?
Leadership isn’t a title and it’s not a position. It’s not tenure and it’s not rank. Leadership is about capability to bounce back — being the type of person who’s able and willing to learn, be courageous, tackle difficulty and question the status quo.
7. What is one meaningful story that comes to mind from your time as a CEO or executive of a large enterprise so far?
As a CEO every day is a new story. I live in the past and take control steps in the present so that our future is meaningful and the company faces no losses. I can recall one story where I was supposed to take a call for action for Indian students decision pattern for choosing one destination which is promoted as an tourist country in India and our company was engaging with an American university to promote it as an educational destination and by the grace of god and good PR activity we were successful to promote Thailand as an educational destination for an American University.
