7 Questions with Emmanuel T K Doe

.

1. What have you found most challenging as a church leader?

One of the most challenging tasks faced as a pastor is getting sincere and committed members to attend church regularly and to help evangelize, and help with church work.

2. How did you become a church leader? Can you please briefly tell the story?

I am the founder and senior pastor of our church. Before that, I was the church secretary of my previous church. Since the founding of our church, I have been directly involved in church leadership directly with church members.

3. How do you structure your work days from waking up to going to sleep?

This is one of the problems I am faced with, scheduling my day. However, I try my best to catalogue during the night activities for the next day. The fact here is, I am not doing it committedly as it should be done.

4. What's one book apart from the Bible that has had a profound impact on your leadership so far? Can you please briefly tell the story of how that book impacted your leadership?

For me, it is not a book, but teachings from the late Myles Munroe from youtube. These teachings have helped me so. From his teachings, I have learned what leadership is and how to work with members and church workers.

5. What's the most recent significant leadership lesson you've learned?

Nothing I can pinpoint to. Nothing new in the past three years.

6. How do you develop a healthy leadership pipeline in a church?

I lead a church committee that is comprised of all department heads. We have a monthly meeting every last Friday of a given month. It is at these meetings decisions are made for the running of the church.

7. What is one meaningful story that comes to mind from your time as a church leader so far?

We have by the grace of God, gone 9 years now as a church. In spite of all the problems faced, our church is still working for the Lord.
