I grew up in Israel's thriving high-tech industry, started as a programmer, with tons of passion. After a long time of wanting and waiting I finally made it, with a leap of faith, into a world full of challenges, rewards, great people and endless interest.
1. What have you found most challenging as a leader of a small or medium enterprise?
Learning to say no, staying focused on just one thing.
2. How did you become a leader of an SME? Can you please briefly tell the story?
Entrepreneurship, hard work, starting from computing and making initiative brave decisions, gathering people, taking the right risks.
3. How do you structure your work days from waking up to going to sleep?
Fresh oranges and vegetables, small workout, then start going over emails, LinkedIn and other media. Calls, meetings, development. In the evening taking time for family, friends, sports, science, books, everything that is great about life.
4. What's the most recent significant leadership lesson you've learned?
Never stop improving your product, there is always what to do.
5. What's one book that has had a profound impact on your leadership so far? Can you please briefly tell the story of how that book impacted your leadership?
"Good to Great: Why Some Companies Make the Leap … and Others Don’t" - it gave me a great glance into the best companies that "made it", loved it.
6. How do you build leadership capacity in an SME?
Learn to give trust, to let go, but only after you made sure you got the right people and get them to believe the same ideas and principles.
7. What is one meaningful story that comes to mind from your time as a leader of an SME so far?
Helping people with COPD and Asthma get their life back.
