1. As a leader, how do you build trust with employees, customers and other stakeholders?

As a leader, building relationships is very important, always be listening to the needs and questions that arise. Be there for support, no matter how big or small for any issue that may arise.

2. What do 'VISION' and 'MISSION' mean to you? And what does it actually look like to use them in real-world business?

VISION - the power of imagination and particularly when applied to the future. Write it down, visualize daily, say it out loud, see it as if it's already happening. Visualization is important as it helps in overcoming challenges, sustaining goals, and providing clarity and direction for the future.

Having a clear VISION is essential for understanding one's purpose, making meaningful decisions, and achieving personal and professional success. Vision statement- Sir Richard Branson says, serve to keep individuals focused on their aspirations and values.

MISSION - we all should have a Mission statement, your WHY, a specific purpose as to why you're in business, what you are going to achieve, that touches hearts and changes lives. A written declaration of an organization's core purpose and focus .

3. How can a leader empower the people they're leading?

By empowering their team, leaders can build trust, develop future leaders, and create a more successful and innovative organization.

Empowerment involves giving individuals the authority to make decisions, sharing the company's vision, and removing obstacles to their success. When employees feel empowered, it is associated with stronger job performance, job satisfaction, and commitment to the organization.

4. Who are some of the coaches or mentors in your life who have had a positive influence on your leadership? Can you please tell a meaningful story about one of them?

I have many mentors- Mary Morrisey, Bob Proctor, Zig Ziglar, Grant Cardone, Tony Robbins, Simon Sinek, Peter Sage, Brian Tracy.

Zig Ziglar- I have Zig's book The Leaders Daily, wisdom from scripture, and sparks of inspiration for those striving to go to the top. As well as a CD collection - how to stay motivated. A two-volume set. I listen while I am driving, Zig says to listen to each CD at least 6 times, you always pick up more when you listen more.

Volume 1. Developing the qualities of success.

1. planning, preparing, and expecting to win.

2. Taking the first step to a brighter future.

3. Motivation, the key to accomplishment.

4. Identifying the qualities of success.

5. Developing the qualities of success.

6. Maintaining a winning attitude.

Volume 2.

1. Winners respond, not react.

2. Identifying and correcting image problems.

3. Steps to a healthier self-image.

4. Succeed in a negative cat-kicking world.

5. Common-sense human relationships.

6. Winning relationships at home and work.

Every day, you learn something new. Always have an open mind and say YES when opportunities come along.

5. Leadership is often more about what you DON'T do. How do you maintain focus in your role?

To maintain focus, which is so important, keep a record of what you do, follow up with clients regularly, if you have a challenge, ask those who have been there, and delegate the tasks that are challenging.

6. If you fail to plan, you plan to fail. Everyone plans differently. How do you plan for the week, month and years ahead in your role?

Planning for the week ahead, I have a calendar schedule for events coming up, appointments, following up with clients, and trainings. For the month, a similar schedule, some networking events are monthly. Training or exclusive training, or special events in the business could be 6 months away. For the years ahead, having a vision board and also a large whiteboard, keep it updated regularly.

Just seeing what you have achieved is so exciting. Your goals in the business in 6 months, 1 year, and 3 years.

7. What advice would you give to a young leader who is struggling to delegate effectively?

The best advice, have many mentors that have been there before, as well as coaches, if you cannot effectively do a task, give it to someone with more experience, and save yourself time and money. Value your time..
